SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: The post-wise final vacancies for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ recruitment exam, 2025, have been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on its official website, ssc.gov.in. According to the official notice, this recruitment examination aims to fill a total of 1,926 vacancies, 239 of which are for grade C and 1687 of which are for grade D.
These openings have been assigned to different government departments, ministries, and organizations in the Grade C and Grade D categories.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Selection process
The selection process for this recruitment is based on three stages: a computer-based test (CBT), a Skill test, and document verification.
The commission has held the computer-based exam (paper 1) on December 10 and 11 across the country. The result of this test was announced on March 6, 2025. Along with this, the SSC has also released the category-wise cut-off percentages and provisional selection for the Skill Test. Meanwhile, the final answer key and individual marks will be uploaded soon on the website.
As per the result notification, 345 applicants have provisionally registered to take the Skill Test for Stenographer Grade 'C', while 26610 applicants have provisionally registered for the Stenographer Grade 'D'.
Those candidates who have successfully cleared both exams have to appear for the last stage which is document verification. Documents such as Original and valid photo ID card, 10th and 12th class certificate, 10th and 12th class mark sheet, Caste and category certificate (If applicable), PwD Certificate (If applicable), No Objection Certificate, in case employed in a government undertaking, and any other document as requested by the SSC.
