Mumbai: By the close of the registration period, a total of 12,71,295 students had signed up for Class 11 admissions in Maharashtra through the centralised online system, said Dr Shriram Panzhade, Joint Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Introduced for the 2025–26 academic year, this system is being used for the first time to manage admissions across all junior colleges and higher secondary schools in the state.
This year, admissions to Class 11 in junior colleges and higher secondary schools across the state are being managed through a central platform. The application period ran from 26 May to 5 June. During this time, students were able to register and submit their application forms for admission.
A total of 9,435 institutions have been included in the process. These institutions together have a student intake capacity of 21,23,040. Of these, 18,97,526 seats have been set aside for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round, while 2,25,514 seats are reserved under specific quotas.
Out of all those who registered, 12,15,190 students paid the registration fee online. A total of 12,05,162 students completed Part 1 of the application, and 11,29,924 filled and locked Part 2. The number of students who applied under the regular CAP round is 11,29,932. In addition, 64,238 students applied under the In-house Quota, 32,721 under the Management Quota, and 47,578 under the Minority Quota.
According to the official schedule, the Zero Round merit list will be released on 8 June, with admissions under this round taking place from 9 to 11 June. The CAP Round merit list will follow on 10 June, and admissions under this round will be held from 11 to 18 June.
The centralised online system has been introduced to manage the admissions process through a single platform accessible to students across the state.
