The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) tomorrow, February 9.

Important details:

Date: February 9, 2025

Exam Mode:

Computer-Based Test (CBT)

Paper-Based Test (PBT)

Shifts:

First Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

Second Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

Number of Centers: 92 centers in 81 cities across India

Guidelines:

NTA has made exam day instructions available to candidates:

To complete the Aadhar authentication process, candidates must provide their Aadhar card.

The candidate's thumb impression will be taken several times as the first biometric procedure.

Any candidate whose thumb impressions do not match will have their iris used for biometrics.

Verification will be done in another way if an applicant does not have an Aadhar card. The exception form will document this.

Arrive at the exam location by the reporting time specified on the admission card.

Individuals who arrive after the gate closure hour will not be permitted entry into the venue.

Prior to arriving at the centre, candidates need to fill out the necessary information, attach their photo, and make a thumb impression in the designated spot on their admit card.

Applicants must bring two sets of admit cards to the appropriate testing location for both the Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) and Master of Design (M. Des.) programs.

Mobile phones and other electronic devices are prohibited from being brought to the testing location by candidates.

There won't be any facilities, and exam authorities won't be in charge of keeping personal possessions safe.

There will be blank paper sheets available in the exam room or hall for rough work.

Before leaving the test room or hall, candidates must write their name and roll number on the top of each sheet and turn it into the invigilator. If this isn't done, the responses might not be evaluated.

Candidates should confirm that the computer-screen question paper corresponds to the subject or medium they selected on their admission card.

The invigilator should be informed if the question paper's subject or medium differs from the one the student has chosen.

The instructions on the question paper, including those unique to the subject, should be carefully read and followed by the candidates.

Items allowed inside exam centre:

A transparent water bottle, an admit card with a self-declaration (undertaking) (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled out, an extra passport-sized photo to be pasted on the attendance sheet, original, valid identification, a basic transparent ballpoint pen, pencil, erasers, and ruler (in a transparent pouch), and an A-4 transparent acrylic board (for B.Des./M.Des. candidates) are all permitted items.
