Mumbai: Students From 70 Schools & Colleges Come Together For Environment Fest; Promoting A Greener Future

The All Mumbai Environment Fest 2024 took place today, hosted by St. Teresa’s Institute of Education, with participation from over 70 schools and colleges. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and encouraged students to come up with creative solutions for a sustainable future.

The fest included activities like Street Treat (street plays on environmental issues), Capture Nature (short films on nature), and Working Models (prototypes of renewable energy and other ideas). Other events, such as Rap Around the WorldEnvironpedia (a quiz), and Chart Making, focused on teaching about ecological issues in different ways. Activities like debates, singing, and even fashion shows added variety to the event.

St. Paul’s Convent High School won the Best School award, and Hansraj College of Education was named Best College for their strong efforts and creative ideas.

Support and Planning

The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Giselle D’Souza, Principal of St. Teresa’s Institute of Education. Sponsors like Citizen Credit Co-operative Bank, Terracon Ecotech Pvt. Ltd., and an alumna provided important resources like T-shirts, banners, and refreshments to make the event a success.
