Mumbai: Jai Hind College’s BMM Department Kicks Off Detour Fest With Athletic Meet

On December 20, the Detour Athletic Meet was held at the JK Knowledge Sports Centre by the BMM Department of Jai Hind College, where more than 15 colleges participated in football and cricket competitions.

Mumbai: On 20 December, The BMM Department of Jai Hind College hosted an athletic meet as a pre-event for their upcoming media fest ‘Detour’. Tim and Berry presents Detour Athletic Meet or ‘DAM’ for short took place at Jk Knowledge Sports Center in Wadala.

From morning to evening, the students worked to host participants from over 15 colleges competing in sports like cricket and football.

The day’s events began with a bang as students rushed the turf in a ‘flash mob’. They grooved to Bollywood hits and everyone cheered as Detour’s mascot, known affectionately as Dittu, joined in the festivities.

After, it was time for contingents to flaunt! Each contingent made a grand entry with their mascot and contingent leaders, showing off to their rivals that they should watch out.

Then began the main event - the sports! Contingents put their physical abilities to the test in both cricket and football matches.

The contingents were prepared to sweat it out to win but Title Sponsor Tim and Berry Icecreams made sure to keep the atmosphere cool and fresh.

Overall, Detour Athletic Meet was a success. Jai Hind College’s BMM Department proved themselves once again! Such an event hosted on such a scale is a feat in itself.
