Mumbai: The third edition of the Anfaal Foundation Education Fair was held at Kesar Baug Hall, right in the heart of Dongri on April 19, 2025. Organised in collaboration with the Khoja Shia Ithnashri Jamat and the Kesar Baug Trust, the event attracted over 5,000 visitors, with students arriving from across Mumbai.

The fair brought together subject experts from diverse fields such as Chartered Accountancy, Management, Arts, Cybersecurity, and others to offer recommendations that matched each student's interest and capability. The aptitude testing program was one of the highlight features wherein more than 500 students were screened and then forwarded to suitable experts for customised counselling.

“This isn’t just another education expo,” said Tasleem Zaidi, Project Lead of the fair. “It’s a mission to prevent students from falling through the cracks—by helping them discover who they are, and what they can become.”

Renowned psychologist Dr. Saba Jivani, who led the testing initiative, added, “So many students drop out simply because they don’t understand their own potential. These tests give them a mirror to reflect, explore, and chart a clearer future. It’s more than a test—it’s a tool for self-discovery.”

The fair wasn’t all academics—a Science Exhibition and ‘Robo Wars’, where robots played football, added fun and interactivity to the day. Students received motivation and real-world perspectives from speakers from a variety of backgrounds who gave inspirational speeches.

With a clear aim to reduce dropout rates and open up avenues for career exploration, the Anfaal Foundation Education Fair is becoming a beacon of change for Dongri, turning a once notorious area into a hub of hope and higher aspirations.
