Mumbai: The Higher and Technical Education Department of Maharashtra has introduced a centralised digital dashboard aimed at consolidating key data from universities and colleges across the state.

The platform includes detailed information on admissions, exam results, fee structures, hostel facilities, and more, making it a comprehensive resource for students, parents, and education administrators.

Inaugurating the dashboard on Thursday, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil explained that the initiative seeks to streamline access to vital information, saying, “This dashboard will help students and parents make an informed decision by providing updated and reliable data about the state’s universities and colleges.”

The dashboard currently integrates data from 26 public universities and the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, with plans to expand its scope to include both public and private universities across the state in the future.

Patil emphasised that the platform would not only aid students and parents but also assist policymakers in making data-driven decisions. “We plan to use artificial intelligence to analyse the data collected through the dashboard,” he said. “This will support the development of evidence-based policies and help us achieve the goal of delivering quality education to all,” Patil added.

In addition to universities, the dashboard will eventually include information from all higher education institutions in the state, further broadening its scope and utility for the public.
