The geo-tagging project is part of the government’s broader effort to streamline data collection and improve school infrastructure. Information gathered through the project will be consolidated and made available on the UDISE Plus portal, a national platform that provides key insights on various aspects of schools, including student and teacher numbers, infrastructure, and facilities.
By integrating geo-tagged school data with information from other government departments, the state aims to create a more cohesive and accessible system for educational planning. The consolidated data will help authorities improve resource allocation, enhance program effectiveness, and ensure that every school is accounted for in policy decisions.
A budget of Rs 1.04 crore has been approved for this project, and the government has already signed an agreement with MRSAC to begin the process. The data will be available on a dedicated dashboard, which will provide real-time insights for decision-makers at the government level.
