In the midst of the conclusion of the JoSAA counselling process, IIT Delhi has introduced a wide range of scholarship and fee waiver schemes to aid JEE Advanced 2025 qualifiers so that financial incapabilities won't come in the way of deserving students to continue their studies.

Financial Assistance for Economically Weaker Students

To help alleviate the financial burden of tuition fees, IIT Delhi is providing fee waivers and scholarships of up to ₹1 lakh annually. The institute's Merit-cum-Means (MCM) scholarship benefits approximately 25% of undergraduate students pursuing programs like BTech, MA, MSc, and MPP. Eligible individuals those belonging to families with an annual income of up to ₹8 lakh will be provided with ₹4,000 every month together with full waiver of tuition fees. Scholarship renewal is made on the condition that students have at least a CGPA of 6.0 and provide income verification on an annual basis.

Another 10% of the students are funded under the Institute Free Studentship scheme, where full exemption of tuition fees is given to the same income category.

Special Provisions for SC/ST/PwD Students

For encouraging inclusivity, all SC, ST, and PwD students are fully exempt from tuition fee charges at IIT Delhi. For students belonging to families that earn less than ₹8 lakh per year, the institute also provides hostel seat rent and a ₹1,000 monthly pocket allowance to cover daily expenses.

Donor-Funded Scholarships: More than 120 Opportunities

Apart from institutional support, IIT Delhi offers more than 120 donor-funded scholarships, including those from alumni, industry sponsors, and philanthropic foundations. These scholarships usually range from ₹25,000 to ₹1 lakh annually and are distributed on the basis of merit, financial need, gender, branch of study, and JEE ranking.

Some of the prominent scholarships are:

- Budhwanti Mrig Memorial Scholarship: ₹1 lakh to first-year female BTech students

- Buti Foundation Scholarship: ₹45,000 given on the merit basis

- Apollodulus-ABB and Bina Dewan Singh Scholarships: ₹25,000 for performance in discipline.
