The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024 has been postponed by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH). The exam was originally scheduled for December 7 and 8, 2024. Candidates can check the official notice at bseh.org.in, the official website.

According to a formal notice issued by the Board, the State Government approved the decision of postponing the exam.

The official notice read, “The State Government is agreeable with your proposal to postpone the HTET Examination, 2024, scheduled to be held on 07.12.2024 (Saturday) and 08.12.2024 (Sunday), until further orders. Accordingly, the concerned may be informed. Further, the approval regarding the dates to hold the HTET Examination, 2024, may be obtained later.”

Exam pattern

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) exam pattern consists of three levels: Primary Teacher (Class 1-5), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Class 6-8), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) (Class 9-12). Each level has a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks. The exam pattern includes sections on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi), Language II (English), and subject-specific papers for TGT and PGT levels. The exam is designed to assess the candidate's teaching ability, subject knowledge, and language proficiency.
