School Closed: The Haryana government has issued a notification stating that all government and private schools in the state will be closed on July 26, 2025, so that the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C recruitment by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) can take place. CET is being conducted over two days, July 26 and 27, at around 1,338 examination centres in Haryana.

The initiative is focused on maintaining an untroubled and uninterrupted arrangement of the test, as numerous schools have been identified as examination centres. The move was officially confirmed by Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda when he visited Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind.

With almost 13.5 lakh candidates appearing for the test, elaborate logistical preparations have been put in place. The Gurgaon government has utilized shuttle buses, while the Haryana government has issued strict traffic and security guidelines to handle the rush of examinees. Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur issued orders to enforce prohibitory orders within a radius of 500 meters of exam centres, shut down adjacent printing outlets, and restrict vehicle parking during exam days.

The holiday guarantees that school grounds can be completely utilized for testing without disrupting normal academic work. The education minister also assured that there is no need for any school staff or students to report to physical school on the exam day, resulting in a secure setting for test-takers and reducing disruptions.

Since CET is one of the major qualifying exams for Group C and D positions—such as police and jail department personnel—candidates are exhorted to remain informed through the official HSSC website for admit card download and examination-day procedures.
