CLAT 2025 Delhi HC Hearing: The Delhi High Court will hear petitions against the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) today, April 7.
Petitions Alleging Mistakes in Exam Questions
Several petitions have been filed in various high courts, alleging that a few of the questions provided in the CLAT 2025 test were wrong. Answering the dispute, the Supreme Court in February intervened, asking all the petitions to be transferred to the Delhi High Court in a bid to coordinate the hearings and prevent conflicting rulings.
The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna and justices Sanjay Kumar and KV Viswanathan noted that similar petitions were submitted in various high courts, including Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Calcutta, Bombay, and Punjab & Haryana. This led to the decision to centralise the hearings in the Delhi High Court.
Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay's Observations
At the recent hearing at the Delhi High Court, Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay highlighted the urgency of a speedy decision to end the uncertainty among students. The judge suggested that the case be accelerated to bring clarity to those who are waiting for results.
Impact on CLAT 2025 Counselling Process
In accordance with the Delhi High Court judgment, the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will soon start the CLAT 2025 counselling for LLB and LLM admissions. Counselling will continue after the court pronounces its order in the case related to the results of the exam.

The CLAT 2025 examinations, which were conducted last December, are the entrance examinations for undergraduate as well as postgraduate law courses at National Law Universities in India.
