CBSE Result 2025 Date: CBSE held Class 10 board examinations from February 15 to March 18, 2025, while the Class 12 board exams have been slated to take place between February 15 and April 4, 2025. As per the FAQs provided by CBSE, the Controller of Examinations stated that Class 12 examinations will finish on April 4, 2025. The exams will be conducted thereafter for students who took part in national and international sporting events. The board exam evaluation process will only start once all the exams have been completed.
CBSE Passing Marks Class 10:
- Students have to achieve 33 per cent marks in aggregate, both in theory and internal assessment.
CBSE Passing Marks Class 12:
- Students need to achieve 33 per cent marks in individual theory and practical exams.
CBSE Grace Marks Details
CBSE board examinations are designed to assess the knowledge students have gained throughout the academic year. Students are declared pass if they secure 33 per cent marks. If a student falls short by just 1 mark or so, the Board may consider awarding grace mark(s) to help the student pass, as mentioned in the CBSE FAQ.
CBSE Schemes for Improvement of Performance in Class 10 & 12:
Class 10:
- A candidate who has attempted the Class 10 Main Board Examination (February-March) and desires to do better may appear in a maximum of 2 subjects by taking the CBSE Supplementary Examination in July, following the announcement of the result of the main examination.
Class 12:
- A candidate who has attempted the Class 12 Main Board Examination (February-March) and wants to better his performance can attempt up to 1 subject by sitting for the Supplementary Examination in July, after the announcement of the main examination result.
Multiple Subject Improvement:
- Students can appear for as many subjects as they wish in next year's Main Examination if they wish to improve their performance in more than two Class 10 subjects or one Class 12 subject.
