CBSE Class 12 Business Studies Paper Analysis 2025
Meera Pandey, a teacher of VidyaGyan School, Bulandshahr, shared that the CBSE Business Studies paper held on February 22nd was a well-balanced exam that tested both conceptual clarity and higher-order thinking skills. Students who prepared consistently throughout the year found the paper manageable, while those who crammed towards the end found it more challenging. With a mix of HOTS, competency-based, and direct questions, the paper offered a comprehensive evaluation, leaving students elated and ready for their next exam.
Gopal, a student, commented that students are pleased their year-round hard work was tested in a fair manner. He also mentioned that they were able to complete the paper within the set timelines, thanks to the practice they had during their revision with sample papers.
Raj Pratap, also from the same school, expressed his satisfaction, stating that he had consistently tackled higher-level questions during internal assessments. As a result, he found the paper easier and was able to complete it comfortably.
Bhavika Pandey, a student of Maharaja Agarsain Public School, shared her experience with the CBSE Class 12 Business Studies exam. "My set was the third one, and I personally found the MCQs to be tricky. The paper wasn't lengthy for someone who practiced writing, as I completed my exam with time to spare and even had 10 minutes left for revision. The case studies were quite easy, and I was able to identify the concepts. However, there were 2-3 questions, both direct and indirect, that were extremely challenging. These questions were based on key points from the book that I hadn't studied, which caused me to miss some important details. As a result, I couldn't attempt those questions from a better perspective. Overall, the exam was manageable, and I expect to score 85+ in this exam."
CBSE Board Exam 2025 Passing Marks
CBSE Class 12 exams are graded out of a total of 100 marks per subject. The final result is calculated by adding both theory and practical exam marks. Practical exams are internally administered by schools and have a weightage of 20 marks. Students need to score a minimum of 33 per cent in every subject as well as in aggregate to pass.
CBSE Class 12 Business Studies Marks Distribution Details
The CBSE Class 12 Business Studies 2025 exam includes three parts with a detailed topic-wise weightage distribution.
- Part A: Principles and Functions of Management covers topics such as the nature and significance of management (16 marks), principles of management (14 marks), business environment (12 marks), planning (14 marks), organising (15 marks), staffing (20 marks), directing (15 marks), and controlling (12 marks), totaling 50 marks from 110 periods.
- Part B: Business Finance and Marketing includes financial management (15 marks), financial markets (18 marks), marketing management (15 marks), and consumer protection (12 marks), with a total of 30 marks from 80 periods.
- Part C: Project Work involves one project worth 20 marks from 30 periods.
The entire exam has a total of 100 marks.
