CBSE Class 12th Toppers 2025: In a stunning display of determination and resilience, Chandigarh acid attack survivor and visually impaired student Kafi, aged 17, has topped her school in the CBSE Class 12 exams, achieving a whopping 95.6% in the humanities stream.
Kafi's life has been one of remarkable bravery. At the age of three, she became blind as a result of a barbaric acid attack by neighbours in Hisar, Haryana. Despite this life-changing event, she continued her education with unshakeable resolve. She joined the Institute for the Blind in Sector 26, Chandigarh, and started formal education at the age of eight.
Her academic brilliance was apparent right from the start; she achieved 95.2% in Class 10 boards, standing at the top of her school. In Class 12, she kept this brilliant record going, scoring full marks in subjects such as History, Political Science, Geography, and Painting, and a near-full score in English.
Kafi's ambitions lie outside the field of study. She wants to take a Political Science Honours degree from Delhi University and would like to be an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer one day, spurred on by the vision of working for the country and making a difference.
Her success has not only made her school and family proud but has also motivated many across the nation. Kafi's story is a testament to the strength of the human spirit to overcome and to the power of persistence.
Regardless of the difficulties she has endured, such as the absence of justice for the attackers, Kafi continues to pursue her dreams, demonstrating strength and determination.

CBSE 12th Result 2025 was announced successfully on May 13, 2025, with stellar performances by students from all over the country. Girls surpassed boys once again with the overall pass percentage at 91.64%, with a 5.94 percentage point difference above the boys' pass rate of 85.70%. The overall pass percentage was 88.39%.
