"I will be hosting Sri Lanka Cricket Office Bearers in the IPL final on May 29th and will further assess the situation," Jay Shah told news agency ANI.
Sri Lanka is set to organise the Asia Cup from August 27 to September 11 this year, which was already been postponed twice due to COVID-19.
The economic situation in the Island nation is continuously deteriorating. There is a shortage of food and drink in the country and in such a situation common life has been badly affected. Organising a cricket tournament in such circumstances seems far-fetched.
