The book “Repentance and Confession to Catharsis”, which highlights the importance of repentance, self-reflection, and inner purification in human life, was launched in a vibrant समारोह at the Mumbai Press Club.
The program commenced with a prayer by Rev. Syamson Balid, a clergy member of the CNI Mumbai Diocese.
Benjamin Kakade, a Maharashtra Government-honored social worker, introduced the author Dr. Robin Kakade in his distinct and engaging style. He shared several inspiring anecdotes from the author’s life, highlighting his personality, humanitarian approach, and successful journey. He also explained why three generations fondly address him as “Dada,” attributing it to his spirit of service and generosity.
The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Vijay Borse (Deputy Commissioner, Mumbai). In his address, he stated that the author has given birth to a powerful concept through this book, calling it a remarkable creation. He also emphasized the uniqueness of the event, noting the presence of people from different religions at the launch.
He further remarked that the publication of this book comes at a time when true repentance and inner cleansing are most needed. He cited the example of Angulimala from Buddhism, who attained transformation through repentance and inner purification.
Dr. Shamsuddin Tamboli expressed special gratitude to the author Dr. Robin Kakade and his wife Mrs. Rekha Kakade. He stated that repentance holds a vital place in every religion, and true repentance lies in recognizing one’s mistakes and striving to correct them. Through confession and catharsis, individuals can bring about positive transformation in their lives.
Rev. Syamson Balid said that repentance and inner purification act as a bridge between human sin and God, and these elements are essential in personal life.
Among other dignitaries present were Dinesh Waghchaure (Retired Assistant Commissioner, Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation) and Pravin Gunjal (social worker), along with several eminent personalities from various fields.
The book was formally unveiled by the dignitaries present.
Urdu writer and scholar Abdul Aziz Chougule, while expressing his thoughts, said, “Allah has always kept two doors open—repentance and prayer. Even the first human, Adam, repented.” He further added in a poetic tone, “May you live for thousands of years, and may we live for you.”
The book provides an in-depth analysis of human errors, the stress arising from them, and the processes required to attain mental and spiritual peace.
Speakers also pointed out that in today’s fast-paced life, individuals are drifting away from themselves, making self-reflection more essential than ever.
They further added that research suggests practices like self-reflection, acceptance, and forgiveness have a positive impact on mental health. Such literature plays a vital role in strengthening moral values and promoting personality development in society.
The audience warmly welcomed the book and responded enthusiastically.
On this occasion, Dr. Robin Kakade expressed that even if this book benefits a single individual, he would consider his efforts successful.
