Cancelled twice in last one year, DAVV’s convocation ceremony would tentatively be held in the last week of November. Vice-chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad said that he had talked to Chancellor Om Prakash Kohli and sought his permission for holding convocation ceremony at DAVV. “Chancellor suggested us to hold convocation in the last week of November,” Dhakad said adding that DAVV has sent a letter to the Chancellor’s office for his official consent. “Once the date is fixed by the Chancellor for convocation ceremony, we will make official announcement,” he stated.

Previously, Raj Bhawan had cancelled DAVV’s convocation ceremony twice in the last one year. Last year, convocation ceremony was scheduled on September 28, 2015 but at the eleventh hour after a missive from Raj Bhawan reached DAVV that the ceremony should be cancelled as the then Chancellor Ram Naresh Yadav was not keeping well. Almost a year after that, the convocation ceremony was scheduled on July 29 but the same was suspended after Raj Bhawan cited same reason for the then Chancellor’s inability to attend the ceremony.
