Baba Ramdev, Venugopal Dhoot to attend bhumi pujans in Indore

Indore: Though the date for bhoomi pujan of 12 units of the Indore region is not yet announced, the district administration along with AKVN-Indore has started preparations for the event. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Videocon Group head Venugopal Dhoot would be specially present on the occasion.

It is said that a whopping Rs 2,282 crore investment would be made by eight groups in 12 units.

Official sources said the date for bhoomi pujan was not yet fixed. It could be held either on October 20 or 22.

The CM’s schedule is also not finalised. But, the district administration and AKVN already have started preparations for the bhoomi pujan.

AKVN Managing Director Kumar Purushottam visited Pithampur on Sunday and reviewed preparations. Sources further said Baba Ramdev and chief Venugopal Dhoot would be present at the event. The Balaji groups are also setting up a food processing unit here.

Distribution of pass to industrialists begins. Meanwhile, the AKVN star.ted distributing passes to registered industrialists. Passes would be issued to only those industrialists who got themselves registered in for participation in the Global Investor Summit (GIS), scheduled to be held on October 22 and 23. The industrialists have received mail from TRIFAC, Bhopal for their invitation.

The AKVN has urged the industrialists to receive entry and vehicle passes from the person concerned. Bar-coded passes will be given to them, which will have a particular Unique ID Number (UNI).

 Congress to show black flags to Ambani, Adani

Amid preparations for Global Investors Summit-2016, Congress MLA Jitu Patwari has said that the Congress party will protest against the Summit and show black flags to industrialists like Ambani and Adani, who attended the earlier summits but didn’t start their work yet.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Patwari said that many industrialists had come to attend the Summit and promised to invest huge amount earlier as well.

“They only come to get land at cheap rates and not to invest in the state. MoUs worth thousands of crores signed during previous summits are still pending and the government has not asking them to start their work and give employment to the state’s youths,” he said.

Patwari also criticised double standards of the government over Chinese products and said that both the Union and state governments have been inviting Chinese industrialists for investment but appealing people to boycott Chinese products.

Beautification drive continues

In view of the GIS, beautification work of prominent squares on the route from the city airport to Brilliant Convention is going on war-footing.

The Indore Development Authority (IDA) is carryout out the job.  IDA Chairman Shankar Lalwani said that under the beautification drive, readymade plants are being placed on Super Corridor square and Bapat Square. Plants are being planted at green belt of Super Corridor and close to airport.

He expressed hope that all work would be completed in next two days.
