Fake Accounts, Fake Profiles

The only difference here is that the employees were all fake, and the salaries went directly to the HR himself.

This elaborate scam ran for a puzzling 8 years. In this span, the HR, who's name has been stated as Yang, accrued a mammoth sum of Rs 20,00,00,000 or Rs 20 crore.

A Gap In The Cunning Plan

The report suggests that this devious plan could have gone for a long time to come. Then the question is, what gave it away? Ever criminal, as they say leaves a trace behind. And, in this case, what nailed Yang was a an inconsistency of consistency.

One of the fake hires or employee had a 100 per cent attendance, and this was a giveaway.

This led the organisation to the path suspicion, which eventually resulted in an internal investigation in 2022, which brought out the crime.

After the investigation by authorities, Yang, the HR manager was punished. He was slapped with a prison time of 10 years and 2 months.
