The 25th Oxygen Express reached ICD Whitefield Bengaluru on June 4

The 25th Oxygen Express has reached Inland Container Depot, Whitefield, Bengaluru on June 4, 2021. It had started from Kanalus, Jamnagar, and Gujarat at 09:10 am on 03.06.2021. This train has carried 84.75 Tonnes Liquid Medical Oxygen in four Cryogenic Containers.

All these 25 incoming rakes and 25 outgoing rakes have achieved an average speed in excess of 80 km/h in Bengaluru division. The average speed achieved in case of BLC wagons carrying cryogenic container for the total journey is also in the range of 67 to 68 km/h which is quite substantial considering the distance between covered between 1800 to1900 km.

After reaching of Oxygen express trains at Inland Container Depot, Whitefield, Bengaluru it takes only 10 minutes to unload the containers and once these containers are decanted in Road tankers the same are loaded back and returned in very short time. The road tankers are then sent to various consumption points across the state. This is a very efficient system which ensures optimum utilization of rakes and cryogenic containers by optimizing the combination of trains, cryogenic containers and road tankers.
