Recently, Justin Trudeau said that he will leave his post amid rising disaffection within his own political party, the centre-left Liberal Party of Canada.

This was in addition the the large cloud of unpopularity that was and continues to shroud Trudeau and his government. While he continues to be the chief executive of the country, his powers are limited as he heads a minority government.

Trade Deficits And Subsidies

Donald Trump took to his official account on Truth Social and poked at Canada and Trudeau amidst these developments.

Trump posted and said, "Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State. The United States can no longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat."

Merge US and Canada

The 45th president further added, "Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned. If Canada merged with the U.S., there would be no Tariffs, taxes would go way down, and they would be TOTALLY SECURE from the threat of the Russian and Chinese Ships that are constantly surrounding them. Together, what a great Nation it would be!!!"

Canada is a G7 nation and is the second-largest nation in terms of area size. With a population of just over 40 million, Canada has an economy of around USD 2.2 trillion. The US on the other hand, is the largest economy with of the size of USD 29 trillion, with a population of 330 million.
