Swiggy, a food and grocery delivery giant, has launched a new app called SNACC that rivals the Blinkit’s Bistro to Zepto Cafe; promises to deliver meals, drinks, and quick bites in 15 minutes.

The launch coincides with increased competition in the food delivery market, as both established players and recent arrivals are expanding their product lines to meet the changing preferences of Indian customers.

To date, the business has consolidated all of its services—including food delivery, fast commerce, hyperlocal delivery, and dining out—under a single app.

Zepto Cafe, Swish, and Blinkit's Bistro are among the big and small businesses that are putting more effort into the market as more customers become receptive to the idea of quick food delivery.

Many businesses, particularly fast-commerce platforms like Zepto and Blinkit, which are owned by Zomato, are releasing distinct apps for food delivery and other use cases in an effort to stand out from the competition and attract a larger clientele.

15 min meal delivery service

Although quick commerce businesses may have thought of the 15-minute meal delivery service, few anticipated it taking center stage so rapidly. There are similarities between 15-minute food delivery and q-commerce. Within months, or perhaps a year at most.

In addition to Instacafe, Swiggy introduced Bolt, a 10-minute meal delivery service, in early October. After starting in six cities, the service eventually spread to more than 400. According to the company's earnings call earlier this month, within eight weeks of the launch, Bolt now accounted for 5% of Swiggy's total food delivery orders during the July–September period.

Swiggy's Bolt vs Snacc

After experiencing success with Bolt, Swiggy launched Snacc. The quick meal delivery division of Swiggy, Bolt, completes orders in 15 minutes. It only recruits restaurants with the capacity to fulfill orders within a predetermined time frame. Snacc, on the other hand, currently ships from a central location with a variety of products.
