If you haven’t updated your Aadhaar card yet, there's still time to do it for free. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has once again extended the deadline for free Aadhaar updates. This time, the deadline has been extended by a full year. Now, the last date is June 14, 2026. This means people can update their Aadhaar for free until next year.

Update Online for Free via myAadhaar Portal

UIDAI shared this update through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, confirming that the new last date for free Aadhaar updates is June 14, 2026. To update Aadhaar online for free, users can visit the myAadhaar portal.

Online Document Upload Possible, But Visit Required for Biometrics

You can upload your documents online to update your Aadhaar card. However, for critical updates such as biometric data (fingerprints, iris, etc.), you will need to visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra (Aadhaar service center).

Mandatory for Aadhaar Not Updated in 10 Years

Some time ago, the government had stated that if an Aadhaar card has not been updated in 10 years, it is mandatory to update it. This was one of the main reasons the government started offering free updates for Aadhaar.
