Kolkata: SPML Infra Limited, one of India’s top water infrastructure companies, has won a major project worth Rs 385 crore in Ajmer, Rajasthan. This project is part of the Jal Jeevan Mission, a central government initiative to provide clean drinking water to every rural household in India.

The project is for the Kekri-Sarwar Sector Package-III and includes building a modern Water Production & Supply System, along with a 10-year Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract to keep the system running smoothly.

The water for the project will come from the Bisalpur Dam, and the aim is to upgrade and strengthen the water supply system for the Kekri-Sarwar region in Ajmer district.

Key Features of the Project

160 MLD Water Treatment Plant (WTP): A modern plant will be built in Kekri to treat large volumes of water, ensuring it meets high quality standards.

Storage Facilities: Two large clear water reservoirs will be built — one at the Kekri plant (20 MLD) and another at Nasirabad (17.75 MLD). These will store treated water before it is sent to households.

Pipeline Network: Over 58 kilometers of pipelines will be laid to carry water from the treatment plant to Nasirabad, creating a strong and reliable supply system.

Modern Equipment: The system will include new pumps, electrical and mechanical systems, and SCADA technology (a smart system that allows real-time monitoring and control).

New Buildings: The project includes demolition of old structures and construction of a new office and staff quarters.

10-Year Maintenance: SPML Infra will also handle the operations and maintenance of the entire system for the next 10 years, making sure it works well and serves the people reliably.

Subhash Sethi, Chairman of SPML Infra, said- We are proud to be part of the Jal Jeevan Mission. This project shows our commitment to bringing clean water to people and our ability to handle complex infrastructure with advanced technology.

This project is another big step for SPML Infra in improving water access and quality in India.
