Mumbai : Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd Friday announced the launch of bundled services with Apple Inc whereby Reliance Jio will buy back iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X at 70% of the maximum retail price after 12 months. The offer can be availed through the Jio app, Jio’s website, Reliance Digital stores, online retailer Amazon and other enterprise partners of Jio, Akash Ambani, director, Reliance Jio, said at the launch.
However, to be eligible for the buyback, customers will either have to recharge with 799 rupees or above every month for a period of 12 months or opt for a one-time recharge of 9,588 rupees or above.
The Reliance Industries Ltd’s subsidiary will offer unlimited free voice calls, 3 GB of data and 100 messages per day for 28 days under the 799 rupees monthly plan. Additional cash back of 10% can also be availed on Citibank credit and debit cards, according to the offer details on online retailer Amazon.
The new mobile phones will be available at Reliance Digital and Jio stores across the country over a period of time, Ambani said. Apple has added an India-specific keyboard in the new iPhone which will support 11 local languages, Tim Cook, Chief Executive Officer of Apple said through a video message.
