PRSI’s Delhi Chapter gets new executive committee

The elections of Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Delhi Chapter, were held at Press Club of India, New Delhi recently.

Naresh Kumar GM (CC), POWERGRID has been voted as Chairman, Public Relation Society of India, Delhi Chapter. Other committee members elected were S S Rao, AGM (CC), PFC; H S Paul, Delhi Bureau Chief, Daily Excelsior, Jammu; Sarvesh Tiwari, Managing Director, PR Professionals; J P Sharma, Former DGM (PR), NTPC; Akshat Chopra, PRO, POWERGRID and Tanvi Singhal, Senior Executive (CC), Rural Electrification of Corporation (REC).

In its first meeting of Executive Council, the Chairman and committee has taken the decision to appoint the following office bearers- H S Paul, as Vice Chairman, S S Rao, as General Secretary, and Sarvesh Tiwari, as Joint Secretary, and J P Sharma, as Treasurer.

Further Executive Council has co-opted G S Bawa, Former GM (PR), AAI; K N Dhawan, Advisor, Communication, SCOPE; J P Dhoundiyal, Ex-DGM THDC and presently Head of Media Cell, Union Minister of State for Power, NRE and Sushma Gaur, AGM (CC), NHSRCL, as a member of the Executive Council.

Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), the national association of PR practitioners was established in 1958 to promote the recognition of public relations as a profession and to formulate and interpret to the public the objectives and the potentialities of public relations as a strategic management function.
