What: Artist Ashok Roy has innovated ‘Photo-Genius Art’ an exciting new kind of art concept, to inspire young artists! ‘Photo-Genius Art’ OR ‘Photo-Genius Painting’ can be described as Painting’s tribute to Abstract Photography.

Here, an artist begins with an abstract photograph of his and then having got it transferred onto canvas, he works on it with oil paint to achieve an entirely new creation. What’s so novel about Ashok Roy’s Photo-Genius Painting? Firstly, the process. Each creation begins with one of his abstract photographs plucked with a keen eye for aesthetic value. Un-retouched and un-manipulated, this itself should have its own worth and merit as an inspired example of ‘Fine Art Photography’. Then comes the vital step towards his innovative adventure. He gets the photograph printed onto canvas. Then he begins to apply brush strokes in oil paint to transform the canvas into a unique original painting!
