Threat To Security

The ministry issued an advisory, dated January 29, in which the government said, "It has been determined that AI tools and AI apps (such as ChatGPT, DeepSeek etc.) in the office computers and devices pose risks for confidentiality of (government) data and documents."

This comes at a time when OpenAI and DeepSeek have been engaged in a battle of supremacy.

In addition to that, OpenAI, the Sam Altman-led company, which according to many is the leading company in the field, is itself embroiled in myriad controversies.

It has been engaged in many copyright battles with various organisations, which also includes many news organisations.

While many international publications have sued OpenAI for copyright infringement, as it allgeadly used data sets to train its AI models, Indian news agency, ANI has also sued OpenAI in the Delhi HC.
