NCLAT rejects Google's appeal against CCI's Rs 1,337 crore fine

Google forced mandatory installation of its mobile suit, without an option to remove it.

Google's woes in India don't seem to be ending anytime soon, as the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has rejected its appeal against a Rs 1,337.76 crore fine slapped by CCI.

The order had been passed by India's competition commission, after spotting abuse of dominant position by Google, to force mandatory installation of its mobile suit, without an option to remove it.
