Mumbai : Syndicate Bank’s executive director S S Mallikarjuna Rao is most likely to be appointed as the managing director and CEO of Allahabad Bank, according to sources.
Padmaja Chunduru, deputy MD of State Bank of India, and A S Rajeev, executive director of Indian Bank, are also likely to take up the top post at Indian Bank and Bank of Maharashtra, respectively, the banking officials said.
The Banks Board Bureau’s (BBB), in its note on appointments, had recommended Anushula Kant as MD of SBI. The list also included the names of the officials who will be appointed as the new managing directors and chief executive officers of various state banks. It is expected that Mrutyunjay Mahapatra might head Syndicate Bank while Pallav Mohapatra would be named as Central Bank of India chief. J Packirisamy, Karnam Sekar, PV Bharthi, Atul Kumar Goel, S Hari Shankar and Ashok Kumar Pradhan might head Andhra Bank, Dena Bank, Corporation Bank, UCO Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank and United Bank respectively.
