Kishinchand Chellaram College 60 this year, and its Diamond Jubilee celebration was inaugurated by the President Pranab Mukherjee. The President, in his speech, spoke on the necessity of recovering India’s lost glory in education.
The event, known as KC@60 was attended by Governor K Sankaranarayanan, Maharashtra CM Prithiviraj Chavan, Union Minister of State Milind Deora, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, and industrialist Anil Ambani, who is also a KC alum. KC Principal Manju Nichani and President of the H(S)NC Board, Niranjan Hiranandani, welcomed the distinguished guests.
