India's largest airline, IndiGo, has made it to headlines yet again. And, once again, all for the wrong reasons. This time, the scandal is a bit more international.
14 Hour Delay
An IndiGo Istanbul-Mumbai flight has been delayed by over 13 hours, or more precisely, 13 hours and 45 minutes, leaving as many as 400 passengers in disarray in Turkey.
The IndiGo flight 6E 18 was slated to take off from Istanbul Airport on December 12 at 20:15 hours (Turkish Time).
However, th flight was eventually delayed significantly by over 13 hours, leaving passengers stranded.

As per Flighstatus.com, the take-off time was shifted from the aforementioned 20:15 hours to 10:00 hours the next day.
Some of the passengers have taken it to X, to air their grievances.

400 Passengers Stuck In Istanbul
One X account posted a video of a bunch of stranded passengers, who were purportedly stuck in the transcontinental city.
The user shared the clipping with a caption that read, "Lot of people stranded at the airport due to pathetic services by @IndiGo6E and @TurkishAirlines operators. Never book flights with them as they don't value passengers' time. You can never be on time with @IndiGo6E".
'Please Refund Me'
IndiGo responded to this post with an inconclusive answer. The reply read, "Hi, we tried calling you on the registered number. However, couldn't establish a connection. We request you to kindly share an alternate number along with a suitable time."
Another indignant passenger said, "@IndiGo6E flight 6E18 from IST to BOM is delayed by 14 + hours - would like to request a refund. Thanks!."
Another passenger claimed that neither of the airlines in question, Turkish Airlines or IndiGo assisted the passengers with basic amenities, may it be food or beverages.
She added, "It was great of the @IndiGo6E to reach out and take my suggestions. I hope this is taken seriously! Indigo has achieved a lot as an airline and can do a lot better in winning the goodwill of customers! If they grow, it will be great for our economy! Wishing them the best."
In her thread added, "We as a nation cannot have one of our airlines ranked among the worst! When you fly internationally, you represent the country not just the brand Indigo! Please rethink! Having built a big airline, I’m sure there’s more you can achieve."
