ICCI, Finance Ministry to hold interactive session on GST

New Delhi: V S Krishnan, Member-Service Tax and GST, Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), will be the chief guest at an interactive session on the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is being jointly organised by FICCI and the Ministry of Finance.

The aim of the event is to provide an insight into the GST framework as currently envisaged. The meeting will focus on the current status of the GST framework and the challenges likely to be faced by the businesses in the country with a view to prepare for the GST regime as and when it is made operational. The entire proceeding of the meeting will remain closed door. A media interface will follow after the meeting.

The other particpants are Navin Kumar, Chairman, GST Network; Rajeev Dimri, Partner, BMR and Associates LLP and Co-Chairman, FICCI’s Taxation Committee; S Madhavan, Ex. Sr. Partner, PwC and Co-Chairman of the FICCI’s Task Force on GST and Sachin Menon, Chief Operating Officer, Tax and National Head – Indirect Tax, KPMG and Co-Chairman of the FICCI’s Task Force on GST.
