With the aim to reignite the love and passion for cinema, which has somewhere been blurred due to the commerce of the trade, Green Chillies Media has launched Global Indian Film Festival. The festival will take place in Mumbai, India on the 10th January.
Global Indian Film Festival welcomes talented film makers from India and across the Globe to showcase their narratives, short films, feature films, documentaries, animation, of any genre, any length, any medium of shooting, with an objective to recognize and honor young and raw talent. This festival is a platform to provide an open environment for directors, writers, actors, technicians, film appreciation enthusiasts and anyone who has a zest for cinema. It will facilitate networking and encourage talk about cinema, with an aim to bring another NEW WAVE through our work.
We have also tied up with a couple of OTT platforms to promote talent and make it reach the mainstream audience.
The day long power packed program includes panel discussions with leading industry experts, insightful masterclasses on low budget filmmaking, interesting fire side chats with renowned industry insiders and screening of shortlisted films from across the globe. Some of speakers at the program are Mr. Mukesh Sharma – Former DG Films Division & Addl. DG Doordarshan ; Mr. Subhashish Mazumdar – Sr. VP , Hinduja Group (Indusind Media & Communication) ; Ms. Shalini Gupta – VP-Brand & Communication, Inox Leisure Ltd; Ms. Mahashweta Dubey – Group Head,-Sony Entertainment Television; Mr. Gopal Malhotra – Director – LiveWires Institute; Mr. Ashish Vidyarthi – National Award Winning Actor
This year’s winners would be awarded a scholarship worth Rs.5,00,000/- to study at India’s most premier institute – Livewires. The Winners from the festival would also get a complete HD camera shooting kit (consisting of 1 HD camera, 3 lenses, 1 mic, 2 lights) for their next film for 2 days. Delegates would also get a chance to interact with producers, distributors and other film makers for collaborations. Talented Filmmakers also get an opportunity to have their work featured in a globally known digital platform.
