Elon Musk, the richest person on earth and th head of Tesla, SpaceX and X is also the head of the Department of Government Efficiency in the United States or DOGE. It needs to be noted that despite an executive order, it is still an unofficial department.
DOGE Is Looking For Professionals
This, as government departments in the United States, can only made through the approval of the US Congress.
The brand new 'department' is looking to build a team, all this while many federal employees are put on leave or have been fired immediately.
In a post on X, the supposed department said, The DOGE Team is looking for world-class talent to work long hours identifying/eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse."
Elucidating the openings, the post further read, "These are full-time, salaried positions for software engineers, InfoSec engineers, financial analysts, HR professionals, and, in general, all competent/caring people. Apply here!"
The post also carries a link http://join.doge.gov that takes you to the portal.
Musk shared this post from the department as well.
Is The Website Blocked?
One user, reacting to this, said that the access to the site is blocked.
When one tries to access the website through the given link, they do find the result.
The page claims that the access to the site is blocked.
So, does this mean, that access to the said website is blocked?
Not entirely, if you are an Indian user, trying to access the account from the territorial identification or 'official' jurisdiction of the country, you may not get what you want.
Americans Only
But, however, a little tweak in the system can help. If a user were to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network), then one could change the location of the phone.
When the location of the device is changed to London, the end result, upon refreshing the page is as seen below.
As one can see in the image above, the access continues to remain blocked.
But, if, by using the VPN, if the user could 'move' to any server in the United States, may it be Los Angeles or Washington, the story is different.

As one can see in the image above, the website is accesabile now. And this is no coincidence, as is exhibited by the conditions mentioned in the application.
The message on the portal reads as follows, "The DOGE Team is looking for world-class talent to work long hours identifying/eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse.
These are full-time, salaried positions for software engineers, InfoSec engineers, and other technology professionals."
Furthermore, the site, in its acknowledgement, the site further reads, "I acknowledge that this role is an in-office, full-time opportunity located in Washington, DC. US Citizens only.
This further cements tiptoes on the Republican line of not being inviting of immigration, even for skilled jobs.
Interestingly, Vivek Ramaswamy, who was initially appointed as a co-chair, left DOGE. This came to pass after a clash over H1-B visas.
