India-based logistic delivery platform Delhivery has launched a new on-demand intracity shipping service called Delhivery Direct. With this service, the company looks to offer pickups within 15 minutes of booking.

It will conduct local deliveries using two-wheelers for small packages and even offer four wheeler vehicles for large packages. Delhivery looks to compete with companies like Uber, Rapido, and Porter with Delhivery Direct.

The new Delhivery Direct service has first gone live in Bengaluru and NCR. “We also intend to go live in Bengaluru and in Mumbai over the next 45 days,” Delhivery MD and CEO Sahil Barua said in a statement. This marks Delhivery’s entry into the hyperlocal logistics market, a space that is now seeing fresh interest by multiple other logistic companies.

To recall, Delhivery had begun testing this service in Ahmedabad in Q4 2024. Currently it offers, only two-wheeler service in the city. According to the company, Delhivery Direct will allow intercity shipments of small and large parcel anywhere across the 18,800 supported pincodes in India.

For parcels that are 20kgs and lower, Delhivery Direct offers two-wheeler local shipping, and for packages between 20-500 kgs, a four wheeler offering is given.
