Auspicious Tamil New year day saw the initiation of H Vishwaprasanna, 13, a prodigy mridangam player into the Carnatic Music World. Vishwaprasanna is a disciple of Mridanga Chakravarty Guruji Shri M S Parameswaran of Navi Mumbai.
The music concert had Sangeeta Visharada Lakshmi Rajagopalan as the vocalist, with Ravi Anantharaman on Violin, Shaktidharan on Ghatam and K N Gopalan on Morsing. Among this galaxy of stalwarts, Master Vishwaprasanna accompanied them on the Mridangam. Master Vishwaprasanna, with the able and expert guidance of Guru M S Parameswaran undoubtedly embellished the concert with his excellent performance. The jugalpandi he played with Ghatam and Morsing lasted for full one hour. Guruji M S Parameswaran has been training more than 100 students in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and within the last one year four of his students have reached the big stage of Carnatic music concerts. Navi Mumbai Tamil Sangam, where Vishwaprasanna is a student felicitated Guru Shri M S Parameswaran and Master Vishwaprasanna.
