Actress Jeniffer Piccinato, who was recently seen in films like 'Thai Massage' and 'Ram Setu', is currently basking in all the positive feedback that she has been receiving for her performances.
The Free Press Journal caught up with the actress for an exclusive chat where she bared her heart out about the films, her Bollywood journey, and more.
Jeniffer says, "My character in 'Thai Massage' is the lead Gajraj Rao’s fantasy girl. I am the girl that inspires him to go pursue his adventure in Thailand. People have been loving the film and me in it and the feeling is amazing."
Jeniffer, who played a geologist in 'Ram Setu', also gushed about superstar Akshay Kumar and his discipline towards his craft. "It was a great experience working with Akshay. He was so sharp with his performance and focused so much on the stunt scenes," she shares.
"He really helped me to feel comfortable and also perform my character better," she adds.
Acting has always been a part of Jeniffer's plan. She recalled how she started off at a young age and made her way into the showbiz. "I have been a model since I was 9 years old and I always wanted to be an actress. I took acting classes in Brazil and New York City when I lived there and worked as a model. After coming to India, I joined a theatre group a couple of years back. I have been really focused on my career as an actress ever since," she reveals.
Opening up on her journey in Bollywood, she continues, "It has been incredible! I have had the opportunity to audition for some very good parts and perform such distinct characters while also working with some of the most amazing people in the industry."
While Jeniffer considers herself blessed to be able to perform varied characters, it has not been all rosy for her. "There are a lot of challenges that one faces in the industry and my challenges have always been subjective to the characters I play on screen. Most of the time, learning a new language or working on my physicality for a specific part has been challenging, but I have also always enjoyed the entire process," she avers.
On a parting note, Jeniffer sheds light on her upcoming slate of films. "I am currently shooting a film in the south of India in which I have gotten the opportunity to share the screen with my 'Ram Setu' co-star Satyadev once again. I am learning Telugu for the project and playing a very intense character. I also have a couple of films and series releases lined up for 2023, so the audiences will get to see a lot more of me," she concludes.
