Rapper, model and actor Asim Riaz, who became a household name after participating in Bigg Boss 13 is all set to star screen space with Salman Khan in Kick 2.
A source close to Asim has informed us that he has been offered a pivotal role in the film. "The film will release in 2024 and and official announcement about Asim's role in the film will be made soon," the source added.
Asim Riaz to be a part of Salman's Kick 2?
Last year, it was reported that Asim will be seen as Salman's younger brother in one of the superstar's upcoming projects. However, nothing has been confirmed by Salman or Asim yet.
Asim is quite active on social media and often shares pictures and videos to keep his fans entertained. He enjoys a fan following of over 6.2 million on Instagram.
On Tuesday, Asim, who is also a fitness freak, shared a shirtless mirror selfie to give a glimpse of his toned abs and his bulked up physique. We wonder if he is undergoing a physical transformation for his upcoming role in Kick 2.
Asim's journey in the entertainment industry
Asim is currently dating Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant, singer Himanshi Khurana. He became a household name after participating in Salman's controversial reality show. He took the second spot in the show, while late actor Sidharth Shukla won the trophy.
Asim's brother Umar Riaz was also seen in the 15th season of Bigg Boss.
The actor-model has featured in several music videos including Neha Kakkar's 'Kalla Sona Nai' and Arman Malik's 'Veham'. He was also a part of Varun Dhawan's film 'Main Tera Hero'.
About Kick 2
Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala gave a pleasant surprise to Jacqueline Fernandez as he announced the sequel to the hit 2014 film on her birthday in 2020.
The announcement was made on the Twitter account of film production company Nadiadwala Grandson where the company had shared that Sajid Nadiadwala had "locked the script" for the second installment of the Salman Khan starrer franchise.
Just like the first installment of the film, Kick 2 will reportedly see Salman and Jacqueline in the lead roles.
