'Bal Naren', inspired by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, is set to release on October 14 in cinemas. Helmed by director Pawan Nagpal and produced by Deepak Mukut, the film stars an ensemble cast which includes Yagya Bhasin, Bidita Bag, Rajneish Duggall, Govind Namdev, and Vindu Dara Singh. The official poster of the film has also been released.
Director Pawan Nagpal says, "The film revolves around a very good social message and has a beautiful story. It's a completely entertaining film with some melodious song, beautiful locations and a good message."
"I heard a rumour about a 13 year old boy who because of his efforts and determination prevented his village from getting a single case of coronavirus. So I created a fictional story and merged it with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. So it is inspired by a real life hero," he adds.
Producer Deepak Mukut shares what prompted him to back 'Bal Naren'. "Bal Naren is not a just a film but a thought process that shakes up the society. At Soham Rockstar we believe in creating content that has strong social message and has the potential to bring in the much needed change in our country today. We have a fabulous Swachh Bharat Mantra given by our PM, and we need to take that forward. We need all support for this film from our industry too," he said.
Talking about if the film has received any support from government, he states, "I feel if government support pad and toilets which are still addressing a particular segment of the society. Our film is meant for every segments be it young old, rich or poor. Cleanliness is needed everywhere and people need to be made aware. Earlier, also we have made films like Mulk, Shadi Mein Zaroor Aana, Forensic which are socially driven and critically acclaimed."
