Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently embroiled in an ugly divorce and property battle with his wife Aaliya Siddiqui. The latter had recently accused the actor and his family of torturing her, and now his lawyer has made some shocking claims about her.
Nawazuddin's lawyer Nadeem Zafar Zaidi claimed that Aaliya was already married when she wed the actor and that she had hidden this from him.
He also stated that Aaliya, her sister and her first husband have plotted a plan against the actor as he has now become a popular star.
Nawazuddin's lawyer's shocking claims
In a press conference in Delhi, Zaidi stated, "In 2001, Aaliya aka Anjali Kumari, an 8th class fail, married Vinay Bhargav. Then she came to Mumbai and became Anjana Pandey, then Anjana Anand in 2010. Then she became Zainab and converted to Islam. After that she married Nawazuddin and divorced him in 2011 with mutual consent. But when Nawazuddin’s career skyrocketed, she again came into his life as Aaliya. In 2020 she sent him a divorce notice which makes no sense as the two had already separated."
He added that Aaliya faked her date of birth as her marksheet states she was born in 1979 while her passport says 1982.
'Formed gang after Nawazuddin became successful'
He went on to say that around 2008-09, when Aaliya identified herself as Anjana, she was married to a man named Rahul, with whom she lived in a flat in Goregaon, Mumbai.
"Due to Anjana's ambition to become big, they formed a gang, which includes one of Anjana's sisters, Archana Pandey. Anjana Pandey was fulfilling her ambition by living in Mumbai, while in Jabalpur, Vinay Bhargav married Anjana's sister. Archana Bhargav is already the wife of Rajkumar Shukla and there was no divorce between the two," he claimed.
Nawazuddin-Aaliya's marriage and divorce
Nawazuddin and Aaliya got married in 2009, and they have two kids -- Shora and Yaani.
In 2021, Aaliya sent a divorce notice to the actor on the grounds of domestic violence and torture.
Last month, Aaliya reportedly filed a complaint against the actor’s mother Mehrunisa Siddiqui. This came after Nawazuddin’s mother filed an FIR against Aaliya for allegedly trespassing into the actor's home.
Meanwhile, Nawazuddin continues to remain untraceable. If reports are to be believed, then the actor is staying put at a hotel and will be back in the limelight only after the dispute gets sorted.
