Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old man's mutilated body was found on a railway track after his girlfriend’s family refused to let them marry.

The youth, Akash Rajak, was found dead with his neck severed on the railway tracks near Piparsama Bridge, causing panic in the area.

According to information, Rajak had been missing since Tuesday evening, and his body was discovered late at night. His family has accused his girlfriend's family, calling it a case of murder.

He worked as a temporary employee at SBI Bank. His family said that his marriage was fixed five years ago, but the girl’s family later broke the engagement because they wanted a groom with a government job. The girl wanted to marry Akash, but her family objected and allegedly threatened him.

Girlfriend's dad & brother threatened Rajak

According to his brother, Girraj Rajak, the girl’s father and brothers had threatened him four days before his death. He was also threatened on Tuesday evening before he left home. Later that night, his body was found on the railway tracks.

The family believes that Akash was murdered and his body was placed on the tracks to make it look like an accident.

The police have registered a case and started an investigation. They are waiting for the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
