Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A young laborer died after falling from an under-construction building in the Bhopal's Ayodhya Nagar area on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 12:30 pm while he was working on the second floor of the building without any safety equipment.
According to information, Raju Mansuri was reportedly working at a construction site in Vrindavan.
His brother, Mohammad Javed, has accused the contractors Jahangir Ansari and Ali Ansari of negligence. He claimed the contractors made Raju work on the upper floors without proper safety measures, leading to the fatal fall.
According to Javed, Raju’s body was brought home around 3 pm after the incident. He further alleged that the police have not taken any firm action despite his complaint, and he has been made to run between Ayodhya Nagar and Piplani police stations, as well as hospitals.
Family demands action
Javed said that Raju got a job in Dubai and was about to leave on May 26, but this shocking incident occurred. He demanded that strict action be taken against the contractors and compensation be given to the family of the deceased.
According to the police, the cause of death will be clear after the postmortem report. The body has been handed over to the family after investigation.
However, the family alleges that the accident happened due to the negligence of the contractors and they are demanding justice.
At the same time, the police said that the matter is being investigated. Action would be taken on the basis of findings .
