Women Rob Women In Busy Market; Victims Nab The Thieves And Take Them To Police In MP's Chhatarpur

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Two women were robbed of their purse while shopping in a busy area in Chhatarpur, police said on Thursday.

But in a bold move, the victims caught the thieves, who were a group of women, on their own and took them straight to the police station.

The incident took place near a saree shop in Chowk Bazaar, where the two women were looking at clothes. While they were busy shopping, three other women quietly stole a purse from their handbag and walked away.

The incident is of the busy Chowk Bazaar area, occurred on Monday, but they didn’t just stop there. They chased down the suspects and caught them on their own.

Priyanka Mishra, a resident of Azad Chowk, Chhatrasal Nagar, had come to the market with her sister-in-law Aarti Mishra. While they were browsing kurtis near the Dulhan Saree shop, three unknown women started circling around them suspiciously.

As the two were busy shopping, the three quietly opened their handbag and stole a small purse.

A man near the saree shop later informed them that the chain of their bag was open. Upon checking, they realized the purse was gone.

The shopkeeper told them that a group of women in yellow sarees had just left. Without wasting time, Priyanka and Aarti searched for the suspects nearby and caught all three.

During the scuffle, the accused threw away the stolen purse, which was recovered by the victims.

The two women then took the suspects to City Kotwali police station.

Police are currently questioning the accused.

The incident caused panic among market visitors, and further investigation is underway.
