Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Bageshwar Dham’s famous storyteller Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is currently on an overseas tour.
He is visiting Uganda in East Africa. Even while abroad, he continues to spread the spirit of India. On the occasion of Independence Day, he raised the slogan 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' in Uganda.
Speaking at the event, Shastri said India follows the tradition of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - the world is one family.
“Our nation is both rich in knowledge and capable in defense. We can sacrifice our lives for others, and if needed, we know how to confront wrongdoers even in their own homes,” he remarked.

Bageshwar Maharaj was invited as the chief guest at the Independence Day celebrations at India House in Uganda. The programme began with the national anthem, followed by his address.
He said that although Uganda is far from India geographically, it is close to the heart. Urging everyone to “keep smiling and keep the tricolour flying high,” he prayed for Uganda’s prosperity. He also said that a smile is the true identity of Indians - “If we smile for a photograph, we should also smile to make life happier.”
Emphasizing cultural values, he told the gathering that while thoughts may be new, traditions and values should remain rooted in the past.
