Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Two days after Madhya Pradesh BJP organised its Tiranga Yatra in Gwalior, the Congress on Thursday held its own ‘Vote Satyagraha’ Tiranga Yatra, calling it a show of strength.
The rally began from MLB College and covered a 30-kilometre route through major roads of the city before returning to the starting point.
The event saw participation from several senior Congress leaders, including State Congress president Jitu Patwari, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, State in-charge Harish Choudhary, MLAs, former MLAs, and a large number of party workers carrying the national flag.

Speaking during the rally, Jitu Patwari accused the Election Commission and the state government of working together for ‘Vote Chori,’ and said that the people would give their answer to this in the elections. He said the march was not just a Tiranga Yatra, but a fight for the democratic rights that the government was trying to take away.
The rally, which also featured tableaux of national leaders, was conducted as a bike procession through different parts of the city. Umang Singhar and Harish Choudhary accused the BJP of ‘crushing the Constitution’ and ‘forming the government by stealing votes.’
Earlier this week, the BJP had taken out its own Tiranga Yatra in Gwalior which was attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, and other senior leaders.
