Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): In a shocking incident, a woman gave birth to a baby on a moving train near Gwalior on Wednesday.
Fortunately, Railway Police and other staff present inside the train attended the situation well and both the mother and newborn are safe and healthy.
According to information, the incident took place in the general coach of a train traveling from Nizamuddin to Damoh.
The woman was identified as Roshni from Belkhedi village in Damoh district. She suddenly went into labor as the train approached Gwalior railway station.
Other passengers then immediately alerted the Railway Police. Under the railway's ‘Operation Matrushakti’, which ensures support and safety for female passengers, the GRP (Government Railway Police) and railway staff quickly reached the coach.

As soon as the train stopped at Gwalior station, Roshni was safely taken to the district hospital.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that both the mother and baby are in stable condition and out of danger.
The Gwalior GRP station in-charge said special teams under 'Operation Matrushakti' are deployed to help women passengers in emergencies.
Their quick action helped prevent a any potential crisis and ensured the well-being of both.
Despite a large crowd at the station, the situation was handled calmly and efficiently by the railway and GRP teams.
