Panna (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking video has surfaced on social media, showing a woman allegedly beating her husband. The video is said to from Panna, Madhya Pradesh and was recorded via a hidden camera.

The man claims that after marriage, his wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law started demanding money and gold-silver jewelry. When he refused, they began torturing him both mentally and physically.

The victim has sought police's help, citing constant physical and mental assault by his wife.

According to information, the incident took place on March 20 and was captured on CCTV. In the video, Lokesh’s wife can be seen slapping him multiple times while he folds his hands and begs for mercy.

Another woman tries to stop her, but she does not listen. She even kicks Lokesh in the face and continues beating him with his collar in his hand.

He submitted an application to the Superintendent of Police, requesting protection from her.

After the incident, Lokesh filed a complaint at Satna Kotwali police station. He also revealed that he installed a camera in his house to expose the truth about his wife’s abuse.

The revelation

Lokesh revealed that he married Harshita Raikwar in June 2023 as per Hindu customs. However, soon after the wedding, his wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law started demanding money and gold-silver jewelry. When he refused, they began harassing him both mentally and physically. Lokesh stated that he had married a girl from a poor family without any dowry demands, yet he was still tortured by his in-laws.

Lokesh has pleaded with the police to save him from his wife's violence. The authorities are looking into the matter.

Meanwhile, the video has sparked strong reactions from netizens. Many have criticized biased laws, saying, "You give them these biased laws, they are bound to take full advantage of them."

Others demanded gender-neutral laws, with some suggesting, "Either the government brings in gender-neutral laws, or the better choice would be to stay single." Some also questioned the silence of human rights organizations, asking, "Where are the human rights activists now?
