Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for the ‘Veer Bharat Museum’ at Kothi Mahal on Sunday. This museum will celebrate India's legendary warriors, national heroes, and historic figures. Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal was also present at the event.
Addressing the ceremony, CM Yadav highlighted Ujjain’s history and its deep connection to India's past. He said the museum will emphasise on India’s brave warriors and significant historical events.
The project will cost around ₹20 crore, with additional funding provided if needed.
The Veer Bharat Museum will showcase India’s journey from ancient times to the present. It will include exhibits on prehistoric and Vedic periods, Ramayana & Mahabharata eras, great rulers like Chandragupta Maurya, Samrat Vikramaditya, and the Guptas Sages, philosophers, warriors, scientists, and cultural icons
Project may complete before next Kumbh Mela
The museum will be preserving stories of courage, sacrifice, and wisdom. CM Mohan Yadav expressed his desire to complete the project before the next Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
The event was attended by MP Anil Firojiya, Rajya Sabha MP Balyogi Umeshnath Maharaj, Ujjain Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, and other leaders. The program began with Vedic chants by Chandan Vyas and his team.
A short film showcasing the museum’s vision was also screened. The dignitaries toured the historic Kothi Mahal. The museum is expected to become a major cultural and historical landmark in Ujjain, preserving India's rich heritage and timeless bravery.
